A closer look at the year ahead
January 25, 2013
Thanks to all of our fans and friends for supporting Brick-Force over the past year. It’s been a bricktastic year for us, since the launch of the closed beta back in February we have seen an overwhelming response, with over 1.5 million registered players building and blasting their way through an impressive 500,000 user-created maps. We’ve been consistently impressed by the creativity and ingenuity of our community.
In the past few months we’ve added pivotal new features such as adjustable gravity, launch pads, new outfits, weapons, exploding barrels, and a new game mode.
Our latest trailer summarizes how we feel about the year 2012:
So, what’s next? We are not slowing down, that’s for sure. With game-changing new features and content in our upcoming add-on, the Bricksaga, we plan to "brick it to the limit" in 2013. To begin with, the new 15 second weapon change feature has just gone live on our servers, where you’ll have the possibility to switch your weapons at the start of a match. We also now have a new and much improved “Quick Join” that will match you with better game rooms.
The outfit and weapon design contest winners have now seen their items officially added to the game. Congratulations to Gravebear and Matiazo! We have also been working hard on additional new outfits and two new seasons for launch during 2013. We want to polish some aspects of the UI and recently we have also taken significant action against cheating.
Later this year,we aim to add better community features, such as the possibility to invite your friends to a match, along with new filters, tags and even descriptions for your maps, to help put map building in the spotlight. We’re also still super excited about the prospect of an ingame achievement system and expanding our clan functionality.
Finally, we are well aware of the mobile compatibility that we announced in 2012. Although we’ve felt that it was important to polish some aspects of the existing game first, it is our goal to bring you mobile features for Brick-Force in 2013.
Prepare to be surprised, delighted and amazed. We think we've got a great year ahead :)
