The best maps have been picked!
March 2, 2016
Its time for our second group of winners for Map of the Month! We had trouble narrowing it down to the three best maps, they were very different and great in many ways. Even so, we are proud to announce the winners:
1st Place: ‘Bruckonia by Norby36
Our winner this month brings themes from fantasy and medieval times, creating a great map which features many ways to play and detail with no rival! The equal bases are either a castle or a cave, meaning you can either be a knight, or an enemy!
Prize won: Weapon of choice, 10,000 Tokens, Title “Builder of the Month”
2nd Place: ‘Silvolus’ by FireFlareZ
In second place comes a map which creates a lot of tension and drama! We have an enormous jungle area with various streams, rivers, caves, lakes, as well as a house, temple and crashed plane! There’s so much to see and explore on this map and it all looks great.
Prize won: Weapon of choice, 5000 Tokens
3rd Place: ‘Jail’ by Zaun
Our third place winner looks to be extremely attentive when watching a certain TV show! Recreating an infamous prison, this map shows as much danger and character as the location on the screen. Picking a side as either the main characters or their evil villain, try to fight over the prison with zombies everywhere!
Prize won: Weapon of choice
That’s all the winners for February Brick-soldiers! Make sure to get working on your March map for a chance to win prizes next time! Remember this is our criteria we use to judge maps:
Balance: Is the map balanced? Does every team have a chance to win?
Visuals: Is there a theme, and how was it incorporated into the map?
Complexity: How intricate and how much effort was put into making the map?
Special features: Is there anything unique that affects and adds to the gameplay?
Congratulations to the winners and good luck for this month!
